This family photo has no information on the back. Our family has roots in the Texas
Panhandle. We are 
descendants of James Harvey Grimes and Harriet Udora Patton Grimes, who were 
pioneers in Armstrong 
County. James Harvey's biography is in the supplement to A Collection of Memories: A
History of Armstrong 
County, 1876-1965. The couple lived in Claude, Texas, from the last decade of the
nineteenth century to the 
middle of the twentieth. They had six children.
It is likely that this photograph was taken in Claude, Texas, but I need to verify
the location and date. The 
style of architecture of the building in the photo matches that of some buildings in
photos I've seen of  
Claude, Texas at the turn of the twentieth century. The hats and collars of the boys
in the picture also suggest 
early twentieth-century Texas.
