Obituary: Juanice Childress Sheppard Herr, November 13, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Oct 2014 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - Friday, November 25, 2011 HERR Juanice Childress Sheppard Herr, 77, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, November 13, 2011. Juanice was born in Sanco, Texas, on June 19, 1934, and attended schools in Robert Lee, Texas. She married her first husband, Roland Jerome(Romie) Sheppard, and they became the parents of three children-a daughter, Rebecca, and two sons, Danny and Kenny. She was 30 years old when she lost Romie in a one-car accident. Sometime later, she met and married Leonard Herr, a career Air Force man, who was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, and they were married for over 45 years. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Herr, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; daughter, Rebecca Sheppard Molpus(John)of Collierville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Karen Molpus Aiken (Aaron) and John Clark Molpus of Collierville, Tennessee; and great grandchildren Lillian Rebecca Aiken and William Henry Aiken. She also leaves her sisters, Bonita Copeland Cartrite (Allan) of Robert Lee, Texas, and Carolyn Childress Braswell (Eddie) of College Station, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Essie Childress of Robert Lee, Texas, her first husband, Roland Jerome Sheppard and Kenny Morris Sheppard. Juanice's family celebrated her life on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at 10am at Robert Lee Baptist Church. Burial followed at the Robert Lee Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
