Obituary: Irmadine Richards McKown, October 4, 2011 Contributed by Brenda Scott Hines Feb 2015 *********************************************************************** The Observer/Enterprise, Coke County, TX - October 14, 2011 Irmadine Richards McKown was born February 13, 1926, at Fort Chadbourne, Texas, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, in the Bronte Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Bronte, Texas. She was 85 years old. Irmadine, daughter of Buck Richards and Iva Fancher Richards, graduated in 1944 from Bronte High School. She married William Bryan McKown on January 19, 1946, and they raised three sons together in the Oak Creek community, where they were members of the First United Methodist Church in Bronte. Irmadine was formerly a dietician at both the nursing homes in Winters and Bronte. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Iva Richards, husband, William McKown, and an infant daughter, Judy Dale McKown. Survivors include three sons, Mike of Rockwall, Larry of Plano, and Gayle of Winters. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Irmadine will be deeply missed by all. Visitation was held all day Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the funeral home with the family present from 6 pm to 7 pm. Funeral service was held at 2 pm on Friday, October 7, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church of Bronte with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
