J. C. Burleson, 76, of Houston, died Oct. 4, 1989 in Fairfield.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. 
Marlon Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in the St Elmo Cemetery.

He was born July 15, 1913 in Fairfield, and lived in Houston for 50 years. He 
was a retired manager of Allbritton Cafeteria in Houston, where he had been a 
manager for many years, and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Katherleen Burleson of Houston, one brother, V.P.
Burleson of Streetman; two sisters Bettie Palms of Corsicana and Hazel Clark of 
Mabank; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sam Clark, Freddie Gene Rash, Rexie Lee Folmar, Brent 
Folmar, Wayne Pillans, Robert Pillans, Bill Shelton and Harry Hughes.
