Harrison R. Hartsfield


  Harrison Ray Hartsfield, 66, of Greenville, N.C., died Saturday, Nov. 18, at
Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
  A native of Quitman, Texas, Mr. Hartsfield spent his early life in the Dallas
area and moved to Stafford County in 1975. He lived in Stafford until two months
ago when he moved to Greenville. He had retired from Charles H. Tompkins 
Construction Co. in 1986. He was a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in 
Stafford and the Masonic Lodge No. 502 in Mineola, Texas. He was a World War II
Air Force veteran.
  Surviving are two sons, Lt. William Ray Hartsfield of Vallejo, Calif., and 
Roanld (sic, Ronald) B. Hartsfield of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Denise Wise of 
Greenville, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.
  A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Fairfield 
Cemetery in Fairfield, Texas, with the Rev. Walter Pickens officiating. The 
family will receive friends Tuesday night at Capps Funeral Home in Fairfield.
