Often times through those 27 years he was called by families, often complete strangers, who were facing transplantation to come and share his experience. He was an encourager to friends and complete strangers and was always encouraging doctors and nurses at UTSW in Dallas as they worked tirelessly in his behalf. Bill Kent loved making electricity and worked at the Big Brown power plant in Fairfield for 42 years. He was a natural leader and a problem solver. Going to work to Bill was a commitment to be enjoyed. Telephone calls at home from the plant during the night were commonplace over those 42 years and he never complained. He could be a tough taskmaster when dealing with men who worked for him. He always said there was no room for mistakes when dealing with electricity. The respect he earned was well deserved, and his many friendships over the years at the plant meant a great deal to him. Survived by wife Amy, daughter and husband Marcy and Javier Martinez, son and wife Chad and Stacy Kent, grandchildren Tiffany and Briar Kent, brothers Will and Shivaun Kent and Jack and Dana Kent, step mother Mary Kent and uncle Bobby Kent.
