John F. Lane, Pursley, Succumbs at Wortham

CORSICANA, Texas, June 20. - John F. Lane, 88, long-time resident of Pursley, 
died at his home in Wortham Friday morning. He was a native of Tennessee.

Funeral services were held at the Union High Church Saturday with burial in the 
Board Tree Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, a son, J. L. Lane of Snyder; six daughters, Mrs. Elzadie 
Wallace of Eustace, Mrs. Eda Dunn of Wortham, Mrs. Hettie Tanner of Purdon, Mrs. 
Hauty Wallace of Dallas, Mrs. Johnny McLamore of Abilene and Mrs. Alma Compton of 
Barry; a brother, J.J. Lane of Dawson; thirty-nine grandchildren and fifty-six 
great-grandchildren.
