Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Karen (Starr) Rogers Karen Rogers, 30, of Teague, Texas, passed away from breast cancer on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Rev. Spain Trask will officiate. Private interment will follow the services at Starr Cemetery near Donie. Visitation will be fromn 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the funeral home. Karen was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, to David and Linda Starr. She moved to Donie, Texas, with her family. Karen attended Teague High School and graduated with the Class of 2000. She married Craig Rogers on May 20, 2006, and had recently celebrated their 6th anniversary. She loved to grow plants and flowers and work outside. Karen always had a positive attitude and brought a smile to everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Craig Rogers; sons, Ryan and Jack Rogers, all of Teague; parents, David and Linda Starr, of Donie; brother, Bismark Starr, of Pueblo, Colorado; sister, Crystal Rose Starr, of Donie; half-brother, David Sean Starr, of Stafford; half-sisters, Sherry Starr and Cassandra Starr, both of Texas City; her mother-in-law, Frances Rogers, of Teague; other relatives and many friends.
