Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chroncile April 26, 2007 MABLE SEWELL Mable Sewell, lifelong resident of Bonham and Fannin County, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, in the Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fairfield, Texas. Mrs. Sewell had been a resident of the nursing and rehabilitation center since January 18, 2007, having moved there from the Woodmoore Assisted Living Center in Bonham, Texas. She was one of eight children and the daughter of Albert and Alice Dearmond Smith. She was born on November 6, 1913, and married Curtis William Sewell of Bonham on July 18, 1931. They had three children, Waymon, Patsy and Jerry. Mrs. Sewell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Curtis, her son Waymon and son-in-law J. Herbert Cody. She is survived by her daughter Pat Cody of Teague, Jerry Sewell and wife Patsy of Sherman, her daughter-in-law Retha Sewell of Greenville, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Her sisters Ella Leslie, Clyde McVay and her brother R.L. Smith also survive Mrs. Sewell. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, April 20, 2007, at Wise Funeral Home in Bonham with Normus Free, pastor, officiating. Her nephews and Larry Nelson served as pallbearers. Burial was in Arledge Ridge Cemetery located near Bonham.
