      Death of Mart Spencer
  News was received here Wednesday of the death of Mr. Mart Spencer, of the Young
community, which occurred the preceding night [12 Nov 1901]. Mr. Spencer was the 
son of Constable Ben Spencer, of Young, and was about 22 years of age, and bore 
the reputation of being a moral, upright young man, who will be greatly missed 
by his family and friends.
  Death was caused by a slow fever. His remains were interred in the Rehoboth
cemetery Wednesday evening, Rev. E. J. Brown officiating.
