DICKSON, E. R. - Cumby, Hopkins Co., Texas - Jan. 7, 1929 - E. R. Dickson, who
for more than fifty years had been a citizen of this place, died at his
residence. He had lived continuously in Hopkins County for eighty years. He is
survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Henry Peoples of Point, Mrs. T.
C. Mars of this place, and Mrs. Walter Hull of Greenville, and a son. For the
last twenty years he has been the Justice of the Peace in this precinct,
having been re-elected again in the November election. Funeral services were
held at the family residence, conducted by the Rev. H. B. Cash of Leonard, a
former pastor, after which burial took place in the Cumby cemetery. (Dallas
