WOODS, J. C. - Died last Friday of Bright's disease and heart trouble.
Services were conducted by Rev. Hubbard at the Methodist church. He leaves a
wife and four daughters. He was 75 years old and had been a resident of
Oakland for more than forty years. (S.S. Gazette, Fri., Sept. 17, 1915,
