Everyone is cordially invited to attend. There will be an ice cream supper on Houston Furr’s lawn in Midway community, Friday at 8:00 PM. Most of Celeste people have interests in Mount Carmel Church or Mount Carmel Cemetery, and the proceeds of this supper go to the repair of the church. If possible, please attend the supper, have a good time, and help a worthy cause. (July 28, 1927) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Thursday night of last week, thugs entered the Bo Lipsey Grocery Store at Kingston through a back window and took approximately $100.00 in merchandise. Neither money nor checks were taken. On the same night, thieves stole the license plate from Monroe Hackney’s car, parked in front of his dwelling. The culprits left no clues by which they could be traced. (May 30, 1952)
