All rights reserved http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ***************************************************** Mrs. Paul Manning Mrs. Paul Manning, 63, died at 6:45 AM on Sunday, August 20, 1967, in Gilbert Nursing Home in Leonard after an extended illness. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 1967, in the First Baptist Church, Leonard, with the Rev. Ed Russell, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Pike Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Born on December 8, 1903, in Winnsboro, the former Nadine Lillian McBride was the daughter of Lawrence W. McBride and Beulah Crews McBride. She was married to Paul Manning on August 20, 1922 at Leonard. Until her illness, she was active in home demonstration work in Hunt County. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Hunt County Gold Star Mothers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard. Survivors include the widower of the Pike community; one son, Larry Manning of Denton; one brother, E. A. McBride of Brownwood; one aunt, Mrs. Nell Crews Walker of Dallas; three grandchildren. Pallbearers were A. L. Brown, C. L.
