Post Oak News School opened Monday with Prof. Fulcher as principal and Miss Lessie Frank as assistant. Mrs. Anderson Epps of Roberts prairie Mrs. Russs son came to visit. Mrs. Stella Hand of Red River visited her sister, Mrs. Fannie Burchell Rev. Davis Trine Epps and Miss Lewell Brown of Post Oak were married Sunday, Rev. Davis officiating. After the wedding the young folks met a the home of the grooms father where they had a singing. Commissioners Court Obie Clark re-employed as manager of Jack County poor farm. Dr. F.G. Huckabay appointed as county health officer. M.J. Davis resigned as foreman of the road outfit now in the north side of Jack County. New six mule team used by the crew under E. Whitehead. Judge J.P. Simpson designated as purchasing agent for Jack County. Silver Hills News Henry Wade Miss Ora Killen began her school at Union Point. We will miss her here but wish her success. Miss Marie Poole, bother and sisters visited Mr. Patton. Mr. And Rms. T.B. Glamer visited their niece at Gertrude. Rev. Neely, county missionary of the Baptist church of Clay County preached. Rev. and Mrs. Gay. Rev. Davis from Buffalo Springs preached. Miss Callie Riddle returned home with Miss Letha Parks and visited her uncle and family, M.P. West, also Miss Parks and other friends of Marlow, Oklahoma. Misses Effie and Ethel Cole and Messrs. Charles Killen and Wilbur Hood of the Silver Hills community. attended the marriage of Fred West and Miss Veda Shaw of Shannon Sunday. Fred was for several years a resident of Silver Hills community and is appreciated for his upright manly Christian character, the bride is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. J.E. Shaw and is quite a favorite in Shannon. Everett E. Shelton, infant son of Mr. And Mrs. W.E. Shelton died Tuesday and was buried in Oakwood cemetery. Will B. Mann of Jacksboro and Miss Pansy Gray of Jean were married 20 November 1912, Rev. Joe R. Mays officiating. Mr. Mann has a position in Jacksboro National Bank and has many friends in Jacksboro who will welcome Mrs. Mann in her new home. R.J. Hunt and Miss Sarah Swartz were married 20 November 1912, Rev. C.P. Welch officiating. George J.P. Masser and Miss Ada Denton were married 24 November 1912. W.M. Jones and Miss Nora Allman were married 24 November 1912, by Rev. Oscar Jones. H.A. Alderson preached his last sermon for the conference year at the Methodist church.
