Swetnam. He was born in Randolph county, Missouri, in 1853. He was married to Miss Jennie Reed, 18 December 1879. His second marriage was with Mrs. Alice Gafford, 28 August 1890. She and his 10 children survive him. His sister, Mrs. Ragsdale, passed away less than two months before he did. He joined Pleasant Hill Baptist church in August, 1897, and was baptized by Elder J.C. Taylor. Brother Swetnam was one of our very best citizens, a loyal consistent Christian, and kind husband and father.
