Reeves, 84 and 81, respectively, who live in Anson enjoy good health, except Mrs. Reeves has been confied to her bed for several years. Mr. Reeves came to Texas in 1866, where he lived with his family in Cass County. In 1869, he married Miss Nancy Powell, and they made their home in Cass County and in other counties until they moved to Jones County in 1883, when he purchased a farm near Anson. In 1899, Mr. Reeves was called to preach at the Prairieview Baptist church, and later was called to the Anson church, where he served 3-1/2 years, nine years at Bethel and 16 years at New Hope. Two years at Fairview, and again called to Anson for 3-1/2 years, later going to Hanna and a number of other churches in Jones County. Children: Bruce Reeves Charley Reeves Mrs. T.G. Blackstock George W. Reeves J.S. Reeves John D. Reeves, died a few years back Mrs. Dave Kennedy, died a few years back
