Synatzske, 88, of Thorndale died Oct. 10, 2002 in a Rockdale nursing home. The Rev. Larry Hanlan of St. John's Lutheran Church in Thrall officiated at her funeral Oct. 14. Burial followed at the Thorndale City Cemetery. She was born Oct. 20, 1913 to Joe and Annie (Stolte) Lamb. She married Charlie Synatzske on Nov. 26, 1938. She worked at many dime stores in Thorndale as well as waitressing in restaurants in Thorndale and Noack. She led the Senior Citizens Center in Thorndale for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lillie Mason; brother Willie Lamb and son-in-law Lawrence Seelig. She is survived by her husband; daughter Ethel Seelig of Thorndale; grandchildren Brenda Brooks and husband Keith of Iraan, Texas and Beverly Hiatt and husband James of Guam; and two great-grandsons.
