Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of Field Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, and Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Turner was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Stroud, Okla., and had been a resident of Pampa since 1939. He married Minelle Baird on Dec. 22, 1940, in Pampa. He worked for Panhandle Industrial for 53 years, serving as president of the company from 1976 until his retirement in 1992. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church and a member of Everyman's Bible Class. He also taught Sunday school classes for many years to 9-year-old boys and high school seniors. Mr. Turner was a member of the Pampa Economic Development Board for several years, a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 and a former member of the Pampa Rotary Club. He loved to hunt, fish, garden and play golf. He was also an avid bird watcher and lover. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lynn Turner in 1999, and seven sisters. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dan Turner and wife, Terrie, of Dumas and David Turner of Bristow, Okla.; four grandchildren, Shane Turner and wife, Krista, of Dalhart, Alison Edwards and husband, Chris, of Washington, D.C., Carson Cahall and husband, Kevin, of Shawnee, Okla., and Jaclyn Turner of Bristow; and four great-grandchildren, Buddy and Jacob Cahall, both of Shawnee, and Matthew and Morgan Turner, both of Dalhart. Mrs. Selmon was born Aug. 29, 1936, in Memphis to James Granville Wilson and Bertha Pasley Wilson. She married Willard "Bully" Selmon on March 18, 1967, in Memphis. Mr. Fichtler was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Berlin, Okla., to William and Molly Barton Fichtler. He was a machinist by trade and worked for Varner's Machine Shop in Shamrock. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mrs. Kepley was born in Morse, Okla., to Lawrence and Anna Copeland Crow. On July 8, 1945, she married Solomon Noah Kepley in Little Rock, Ark. She was a resident of Moore County for 56 years and was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant daughter, Mary Helen Kepley. Survivors include two sons, Jim Kepley and wife, Ann, of Amarillo and Solomon Kepley and wife, Loretta, of Groom; two daughters, Beverly Cole and husband, Jack, of Sentinel, Okla., and Barbara Taylor and husband, Rick, of Dumas; two brothers, Allen Ray Crow and L.J. Crow, both of California; a sister, Betty Childs of Nevada; 13 grandchildren, James, John, Yvonne, Angie, Trae, Jessica, Valerie, Steven, Randy, Katrina, Nick, Heather and Jennifer; and 13 great- grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Mendoza was born Jan. 26, 1923, to Felix Martinez and Luz Prieto Martinez. She married Reymundo Mendoza on Dec. 31, 1939, in Mexico. She moved to Amarillo from Hereford in 1981. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Guadalupanas and also taught classes in marriage at St. Laurence Cathedral. She was very active in both churches and was also a Gurcillista for 47 years. She will be missed not only as a mother and inspiration but also as a great friend. Lois loved to read, paint and quilt. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and a brother, Robert H. Boatman Jr. in 1964. Mrs. O'Malley was a graduate of Morse College, Hartford, Conn.; New Jersey Preparatory Institute of Civil Service; and extension courses from LaSalle University of Chicago. She was a Connecticut State Duckpin Bowling Average Champion, National Mixed Doubles and Ladies Doubles Champion and was inducted into the Connecticut Duckpin Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a Connecticut State Team Lawn Bowling Champion and captain of the only undefeated ladies basketball team at Morse College. She organized and coached the Connecticut Ladies Laurelettes softball team, who participated in World Championships. She was employed at Hartford Insurance and Hartford Special Machinery in Connecticut and moved to Amarillo in 1965 where her husband, Charles, "Chick" was a baseball manager of the Amarillo Giants minor league team. Mrs. O'Malley retired as employee plans administrator from the Pantex Plant, was a caregiver to many elderly in Amarillo and was a member of the Amarillo Senior Citizens Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include nephews; nieces; great-nephews and nieces; great-great- nephews and nieces; and great-great-great-nephews and nieces.
