People index notes

The asterisk (*) identifies five readable names found only in the low-resolution Statistical Table on original page 22: J. A. Atwood (Board Flat clerk), W. A. Harris (Union clerk), J. H. Stanley (Oplin clerk), Mrs. D. M. Thomas (Eagle Cove clerk), and T. F. Wolfe (Cross Plains clerk). These readings are retained with medium confidence because of source resolution; they are not guessed names. The table image is only 364x180 pixels, and a higher-resolution scan would improve verification.

Separate entries and uncertain identities

Different printed initials are preserved without assuming typographical error or shared identity. J. Harris (page 15) remains separate from R. J. Harris (2, 3, 7, 19); H. S. Monk (2, 4) remains separate from J. S. Monk (11). The unresolved Clyde clerk on page 22 is assigned to neither Monk entry. W. J. Mathews (2, 3) and W. M. Mathews (11) remain separate, as do Mrs. Mathews (2) and Mrs. H. Mathews (3).

The Thomas entries are also separate: Sister Thomas of Pleasant Grove (page 2), D. M. Thomas (2, 3, 4, 5, 11), Mrs. D. M. Thomas, Eagle Cove clerk (22), and Wm. Thomas (2). The unnamed-initial Sister Thomas is not equated with Mrs. D. M. Thomas. Shared surnames or church connections alone do not establish that differently printed names identify the same person.
