looking for descendents of Robert M. Blackburn and Helen Minerva Ayers. They married in TN - He died in the Civil War and his widow and children migrated to Pittsburg. Helen Minerva Blackburn dies April 3, 1916. Robert M. Blackburn was a brother to my great great grandfather James Henry Blackburn and they were the sons of James Blackburn and Elizabeth Flowers.

Looking for descendants or family of William McClure (1785-1849) and Elizabeth McMillian McClure (1795- 1883) William was the son of John Graves McClure. William's son Hugh (1812-1882) married Margaret McWilliams (1813-1897) The children migrated from the Armurchee Valley of Walker County Georgia to various parts. Children of Hugh and Margaret McClure 1) Robert McClure (b.1832) moved to Ocala, FL and had two daughters one of whom was "Josie". 2) Martha Jane 3) John T (b. 7/3/1838) married Jennie Fishback and lived in Titus County TX, Children: -Bill McClure -Catherine McClure Bolen at one time lived in Chandler OK 4) Reuben Beavers McClure (1840-1913) moved to Texas; Children - Pearl McClure married J. F. Dillon of Pittsburg TX - Charles Hugh McClure lived in Pittsburg, TX. Children - Jimmy McClure, Dallas - Johnny McClure, Dallas - Coral McClure married Bill Rhymes of Pittsburg, TX - Jimmie Jewell McClure married R. E. January and lived in Dallas. Children: - Ruby January (b. 1914) married J. H. Elzey a Methodist preacher in Littlefield, TX - Reba January (b. 1914) married D. D. Ross - Ouida January married Jack West of Houston - Note - a grand daughter of Jimmy Jewell was Mrs. James A. Lake of Boise, Idaho 5) Mary McClure (1843-1906) married James A. Woodall and lived at Fairburn,GA 6) Christina (Crissie) McClure (1846-1924) married George Washington Stewart 7) William McClure married an "Arnold" and moved to Texas. Children: - Judson McClure, worked as a photographer and was killed in a horse riding accident - T. Rudy - William Arnold of Rolan TX 8) Hugh McClure, Jr. (b.1852) moved to Apopka, FL and had orange trees. Later his boys had fern gardens. Children; - Charles McClure - Hugh McClure III - George McClure, lived in Sanford FL 9) James McClure (b.1854) married Mollie Teal of Chattooga County, GA and may have gone to Texas. - Bessie Jim McClure married a Debenport and lived in Longview TX. I am researching my maternal grandmother's family from 19th century Russell County, Alabama. One of her older sisters, Hattie Rebecca Wilkins (9/15/1850-11/6/1929) married Sanford Green Smith (d. 3/1925)in Russell County on 1/17/1874. They migrated eventually to Northeastern Texas and lived for many years in the Crossroads Community. They are buried in Morris County, but I understand there is/was a Crossroads Community in Camp County. Does anyone have any information about the Crossroads Community or about the SMITHS who moved there in 1896? Any information would be very much appreciated.

They moved to Arkansas around 1900 from Texas, where they she died abt. 1905 and he died in 1927. I have some tokens good for merchandise at H.B.Clay's store, Pine, Texas. They had 7 children. Hartwell Spain Reardon of either Oklahoma or Alabama, is said by family history to have died in Camp Co. in the late 19th or early 20th century His daughter, Nannie Lucille Ashmore, nee Reardon, apparently married (Arthur Norwood Ashmore, b. 12/19/1871 & d. 12///14/1942in Corsicana, TX.) in Mt. I am writing a magazine article which includes an incident in Pittsburg, Camp County on 11 Feb 1885 when Lieutenant John W. Heard shot and killed G. M. D. Smart. Would like to obtain a newspaper account of the shooting and Heard's trial in Pittsburg the same day. Any Smart descendants have a copy? Can anyone tell me where to find the name of the newspaper which would have covered that incident, and hopefully a copy of it on microfilm? Where is G. M. D. Smart buried and what is the incscription on his tombstone?
