Looking for Braddock Harris GILLIAM and his wife Mahala MORRIS GILLIAM who reportedly moved from Hopkins Co to Camp Co ca 1880. Both were in the Hopkins Co census in 1860, but by 1870, Mahala was listed as head of house with children Cynthia, James T., Emaline, Susanna, Francis Marion, Cordelia. Who was Moses Barnes, who served in the War for independence from Mexico in 1835/1836? As part of his payment for service, he received bounty land in Camp Co., TX. He appears to have owned some of this land until at least the 1850s. He sold part to J. Pinckney Henderson and part to another man. I wonder if Moses Barnes was related to Loftin Barnes who was in the 1850 Titus co., TX, census, and to my gggrandfather, John S. Barnes, who was in the Cass Co., TX, census of 1850, born ca. 1812 AL.

I'm looking for information on William and Sarah Elizabeth (Price) Terry who came to Camp Co in the late 1870's. William was born abt 1835 in Kentucky and lived in MO and possibly TN before immigrating to Texas. He died around 1878. Sarah is listed in the 1880 Camp Co. census with her widowed father Richard C Price and children. Am searching for any info on these surnames circa 1800 on. Have just family info that Tom Knight had a sawmill around Pittsburg area. He died and his son (no name) took over. My ggrandfather Melvin Wall worked at the sawmill and met my ggrandmother Era Gertrude Knight there. They married about 1891 but unsure of where. Era Knight was born Jan. 1872 someplace in East Texas and died Jan 1908/1909. She was buried around Seymour Tx. Have evidence of one sister, Anna Laura Knight married James L. Comer 23 Aug. 1908 in the home of Rev. J. F. Bevel at Pittsburg. James was a farmer in the Pittsburg area until they moved to Bonham. In 1952 they moved to Winnsboro Tx. Have family info that the parents of Era and Annie were Jim and Laura Knight but no documentation as of yet. Also family info that two Knight brothers served in the Civil War and came back to the area to die. The surnames I'm searching have roots in the following towns and counties: Mt. Pleasant, Titus Co. Winnsboro, Wood Co. Leesburg, Franklin Co. Pittsburg, Camp Co. Would be great if anyone has any info. I do have a large amount of info on the Wall surname TX>LA>AL>SC 1754. Thanks in Advance! Susan
