Where We Are
Gaines County sits on the southern High Plains of West Texas, between the Panhandle region, the western counties and New Mexico.
The county seat is Seminole, which is almost centered in the county. Our neighboring counties, starting in the west and proceding clockwise, are
Lea County, New Mexico, and
Yoakum and
Terry counties in the north.
Dawson is east of us and
Martin and
Andrews counties share our southern county line.
