The following excerpts were taken from page 14 - The Artesia
(NM) Daily Press - January 16, 2000

GILBERT
Services are January 17, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church for
Burle Vondell Gilbert of Roswell, NM.  Gilbert, 86, died on
January 12 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell.
Interment will be at South Park Cemetery in Roswell. She was born 
on May 29, 1913, in Rio Hondo, Texas, to Virginia and H.D.O.
Hammond.  Both parents preceded her in death.  She married 
A.H. "Sug" Hazel and together they owned and operated Hazel
Flying Service in Artesia.  They operated crop dusting and
spraying services in Artesia, Burlington, Colo., and West Texas.
She later married A.J. Gilbert and after his death she returned
to Roswell.  She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
She is survived by cousins Sharon Brown of Littleton, Colo.,
and H.D. Barton of Booker, Texas, and their families.
