WHEREAS, T. M. Jackson did on August 29,1905, exicute to J. M. Cooper three notes for $500.00 each - No. 1 - 2 -3- as part payment for a certain tract of land (to wit):
Section No. (16) Sixteen, Certificate 30/4001, in Block No. (2) Two, as surveyed by the H. & T. C. Ry. Co., in the North part of Sterling County, Texas, the said T. M. Jackson having paid Note No. 1, thereafter on the 6th day of January 1908.
The said J. M. Cooper ( for value received) transferred notes No. 2 & 3 to R. W. Thomas, Now, know All Men by these Presents, that we, the said T. M. Jackson and R. W. Thomas do hereby agree to this the second Extension of the aforesaid notes and vendor's lien untill the first day of November 1914.
