Bosque (boss-key) County is located just south and west of Fort Worth. Bosque (boss-kay) is a Spanish word meaning forest or woods. The county is named for the Bosque River that runs through it. The county seat is Meridian, located near to the center of the county and the largest city is Clifton with about 3500 people.
